Financial Benefits of the KAS Scholarship

The KAS Scholarship is a full scholarship, covering living expenses and offering additional allowances.

Monthly Stipend

  • Master’s students: Up to €992 per month (for 2 years)

  • Doctoral candidates: Up to €1,400 per month (for 3 years)

Additional Allowances

Scholarship holders may also apply for:

  • Health insurance subsidy (up to €120/month)

  • Family allowance (€276/month)

  • Child allowance (€250 per child)

  • Research and study travel grants abroad

Eligibility Criteria for KAS Scholarship Germany

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Have German language proficiency at a minimum B2 level (Goethe-Institut certificate required)

  • Be committed to democratic values and social responsibility

Academic Requirements

  • Master’s applicants:

    • Must be enrolled in or applying for a four-semester Master’s program at a German university

  • Doctoral applicants:

    • Must have confirmation of doctoral admission at a German university
