The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a fully funded Indonesian Government scholarship designed for international students from developing countries. The program supports students who wish to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degrees at recognized universities in Indonesia. This scholarship aims to enhance human resource development and strengthen international cooperation between Indonesia and participating countries.

The KNB Scholarship 2026 offers international students the chance to study at leading Indonesian universities while experiencing Indonesia’s rich culture and dynamic society. For the 2026 intake, the program will award 222 scholarships, including 30 Bachelor’s, 162 Master’s, and 30 PhD positions. Successful applicants will study at one of the 47 partner universities, gaining access to quality education and research opportunities.

The scholarship covers a wide range of academic fields such as Engineering, Science, Economics, Computer Science, Architecture, Management, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts, Law, Education, and International Relations, making it suitable for students from diverse academic backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria for KNB Scholarship 2026

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Maximum age:

  • Bachelor’s: 21 years

  • Master’s: 35 years

  • PhD: 40 years

• Applicants must not already hold the same degree level they are applying for

• English proficiency test taken within the last two years (required for applicants from non-English-speaking countries)

• Applicants from English-speaking countries or English-taught programs must submit an official letter from their university confirming the language of instruction

• All required documents must be complete and valid

• Documents must be submitted in English or Bahasa Indonesia
